March: The Wishing Tree released "Ostara", the first studio album after 1997. The album was presented live on March 21, during the Marillion Weekend. See the band's new website for further information.

September: The Wishing Tree launched a Myspace website where it's possible to find two new demo tracks: "The Hollow Hills" e "If You (intro)". The new album is being recorded, and the lyrics this time were written by the singer Hannah Stobart.

March: Steve Rothery and Hannah Stobart are writing The Wishing Tree's second album. Though the band was previously announced for the Marillion Weekend 2005, it cancelled its participation.
