1. Innovative ideas competition
"We are running a competition to reward the most innovative
person in promoting the band. Please take a photo of
yourself doing something spontaneous, fun or creative
to promote Marillion, Happiness Is The Road, and/or
the upcoming tour.
"The best picture (the final decision will rest with
us, naturally) will receive a signed promotional copy
of the single Whatever Is Wrong With You. The pictures
will be posted on Flickr as we don't allow posting of
images on the forum, and the closing date will be 1st
December 2008. Email pictures to me at ben@marillion.com!
So go out there and spread the word and win a prize!
All in all this is guaranteed to make you feel good
about yourselves!"
2. Flyering competition
"We are running a competition to reward the best photograph
received of people handing out flyers to promote Happiness
Is The Road and the upcoming tour.
"The best picture (the final decision will be ours)
will receive a signed promotional copy of the single
Whatever Is Wrong With You. The pictures will be posted
on Flickr as we don't allow posting of images on the
forum, and the closing date will be 21st February 2009,
the final date of the tour. As you can see, this is
some way in the future, but there's no limit to the
number of pictures you can enter! So if it looks like
someone's just sent in a better picture than your previous
attempt, go for it again and beat their entry! Email
pictures to me at ben@marillion.com."
3. Tour posters competition
"We are running a competition to reward the best photograph
received of a tour poster tacked up in your local area
to promote Happiness Is The Road and the upcoming tour.
"The best picture (the final decision will be ours)
will receive a signed promotional copy of the single
Whatever Is Wrong With You. The pictures will be posted
on Flickr as we don't allow posting of images on the
forum, and the closing date will be 1st December 2008,
the final date of the tour. Please be aware that permission
should be obtained by whoever owns or is responsible
for where you're putting up the poster, and ideally
it will need to be up for a good few months, as the
tour continues into 2009. In addtion, the picture should
be creative! For example, if you're putting it up in
your local pub, why not have the staff pose next to
it? Email pictures to me at ben@marillion.com!"
